The M1A was the last weapon the original Springfield Armory military arsenal designed that had a lock, stock and barrel. Springfield Armory created the M1A as an improvement of the Garand used during the Korean War, making this tactical rifle a modern take on older style semi-automatic rifles. The M1A tactical rifle maintains the accuracy that was necessary during wartime, but applies it to more civilian settings today. With such shooting precision, many gun owners regard the M1A as the best semi-automatic tactical rifle available on the market.
The Standard Series is a faithful semi-auto only recreation of the original M14. Keep in mind that the Standard M1A is as well suited for a day at the range as it is for filling that special place in your military collection.
