I bought the 350 legend and the FMJ ammo after cleaning and breaking the rifle in, it shot small near one hole groups at 100 yards, I am happy with mine. (Posted on 12/10/2019)

Great little gun to carry in thick forests. 1 1/2 inch groups using Hornady 170 gr. ammo is outstanding for a 16 inch barrel, brush gun. Feeding rounds from the magazine requires slamming the action hard making it hard to keep the rifle shouldered for a second shot. Barrel finish is about the worst I have ever seen on any gun. I carried it twice in the field and have spots on the barrel worn down to silver metal. I know Ruger can do better than that. Despite the cheap finish, I would still recommend this gun for hunting in heavy timber. If the action was a little smoother, it would make a great starter rifle with it's low recoil and excellent muzzle energy. (Posted on 12/9/2019)

I have never in my life wrote a review on anything but people should know not to buy!! So I just bought one of the Ruger ranch 350 legends about a month ago for my nephew for Christmas. I took it to the range and started out with just the cheap Winchester FmJ's they patterned great at 25yd and at 50yd they began to get wider and wider. At 100 yards there was a 6 inch group with a occasional very sparatic round and honestly I was shocked. I thought maybe it was the scope even though it was a brand new vortex so I put a different scope on and bought 2 different types of ammo and still it did the exact same thing 25yd great and out past that it was horrible!!! So I contacted ruger and told them what it was doing and sent it back to them to be fixed . When it returned they said they replaced the bolt and did chamber work. They also sent me a pic of there target they had three rounds in half inch group with Winchester FMj's. The day I got it back I took to the range put in on a Led sled to take out any human error and sighted it back in at 25yds. Then when I tried 50 yards it done the exact same thing it did before I sent it in. The group got wider and sparatic!! So if Ruger did any work to it at all they did not test the weapon past 25yd. I contacted rural king told them it was doing the same thing that it did before I sent it in and they contacted Ruger explained to them what was going on. Ruger agreed to give me a totally different rifle in same caliber 350 legend. So back to the range I go and after spending a small fortune in ammo and several days wasted doing everything ruger recommended the new gun doesnt shoot any better than the other one. In my opinion ruger has done something really wrong building this rifle!!! I'm very upset guys I bought this for my son for Christmas and now I'm out the money for the gun because I damn sure wouldn't sell it to someone else!! Just in case your wondering I've been shooting since I was big enough to walk so it's not just some newbie behind the trigger here!! (Posted on 11/20/2019)
