Bought for my some for Christmas. We did get a chance to shoot it during Christmas break. I love the sights but wouldn’t call it a tack driver at least it yet. It will need more bench time but for now it did ok. (Posted on 1/8/2020)

Got this on sale online. Even still it’s worth the retail price. My son loves it. At first it seemed to not want to fire correctly, but we checked out and oiled the gun and no problems, my wife enjoys it, and so do I. It’s something we all can share some time enjoying together (Posted on 1/2/2020)

First thing, the gun came with a large two inch gouge on the stock. It was deep. I understand the gun is cheap but it should never have left the factory like that. The rest of the gun is worth the price Fiber optic sights, charging handle felt more solid than my Marlin. (Posted on 12/30/2019)

Good, inexpensive little plinkster. For the money it can't be beat. So far has been reliable and very accurate. About 200 rounds so far, all good. I bought the Mossberg 25 rounder magazines for it and they work well. The rifle comes with 1 mag only. Probably not as good as the Ruger 10/22, but about $200.00 cheaper. So you could buy 3 of the Rossi's for the price of one ruger. I know the Rossi is made in Brazil. So I own a Ruger and Rossi, so don't feel as bad about buying foreign made firearms (Posted on 12/29/2019)

Picked up 2 for $89 on Black Friday. Couldn’t be happier with how well it shoots. Unbelievable value for what you get, even at normal price. Very accurate from factory. Zero issues after 500 rounds. Buy it if looking for inexpensive .22 (Posted on 12/29/2019)

Bought this on cyber monday for $89 and some change. Shipping took a while but that was sort of expected. This gun is super light and mounting a 3×9 scope on it was easy as could be. It shot around 300 rounds of bass pro brand target ammo without any malfunctions or issues. I zeroed it at 50 yards and got sub moa groups off the bench. I was even getting 2 and 3 inch groups at 100 yards by just holding over. All in all I strongly suggest this shooter and would buy again in an instant. The only down fall is the small magazine which you can buy 25 rounders online anywhere to supplement with. This thing is solid! (Posted on 12/29/2019)

Bought this for my grandkids to shoot and I like it so much I am going to have to buy one for me too. No misfires, great sights (even for old eyes), and fun to shoot. Grab yourself a couple of the Mossberg 702 25 round magazines and you can shoot all day. (Posted on 12/29/2019)

Got two of these for Christmas. One for my 9 year old son and one for me. Have put a couple hundred round through them so far and have worked flawlessly. The only down side is the magazine options from Rossi. Ten round only but a Mossberg 702 plinkster 25 round mag works. (Posted on 12/29/2019)

Fantastic Plinking Gun - Best Economical .22 - Slight Mag Issue Review by Engineer Phil
Quality

Overall the Rossi RS22 is a fantastic plinking gun. It has a length appropriate for both kids and adults, while also having a good and well placed set of sights.

I ran into only one problem with the gun, the magazine catch was very tight on the first couple outings. Like the magazine would pull halfway out and they hang up on the catch again. This lead to wear marks on the back of the mag and inside the magazine well. I cured this issue by filing away at the high spots on the back of the magazine with a needle file and dressing it back up with some touch up. Probably just a bad magazine, but overall the rifle performs fantastically. (Posted on 12/28/2019)

After Christmas we put 100 rounds Down range and as we sighted it in, with open sights, it kept getting better and better at 25 yards...Put a scope on and at 50 yards with cci mini mags 36gn we kept a 3/4” group. With more practice and more rounds down range we hoping for 1/2” group at 50 yards. Ours we are happy with!!!! (Posted on 12/28/2019)
Ok gun, mediocre customer service Review by Jeff

Gun is nice looking, but it's definitely subpar quality you would get with the Ruger 10/22. Upper receiver is painted not "blued". The bolt charging handle was wiggly straight out of the package. The mag is a pain in the butt to pull out. The fiber optic sights provide nice visual, but gun isn't super accurate, "Not even close to precision of my Henry lever action .22", and getting it sighted in isn't easy. (I'm being hypercritical of the gun, I was shooting ammo purchased in bucket bulk form, the ammo is as cheap as you can get). I've also had trouble cycling this ammo in other guns as well, so I am sure it is the ammo. I have 2 friends who want to buy this gun from me if I decide I don't want it. It is exactly what I expected for sale. If quality of gun is important, buy a Ruger. If you are on a budget and high quality isn't important, then buy this gun. You will get used to the cons of the gun pretty easily. Nice every day gun (Posted on 12/23/2019)

For a cheap semi-auto 22 it shoots amazing groups.
25 yards standing offhand open sights placing in a sub 2” group. Bench rest at 50 yards sub 1” groups with many thru same hole. Using cheap 36 gr Armscor ammo it really impressed me. 500 rounds today without any failures or jams. Trigger has a lot of take up but it can be compensated for. Now for a little fine tuning and an optics package I believe I can get it to less than 1/2 inch at 50 yards. (Posted on 12/21/2019)

Everybody needs an extra .22 to throw in the tuck. I'm not much on technology so long story short....I ended up with 2. Easy to handle, fast, and accurate. I put a scope on one, but the fiber optic iron sights work just fine. Not a Cadillac but a very practical gun for kids, women, or anybody small game hunting, or just plinking out to 100 yards or so. This rifle was the hit of our last range day.
Not one single failure and it put rounds on target right out of the box.

Yes I cleaned the rifle before its first outing (common sense). It even tells you to in the owners manual.
