By far (and honestly my only semi auto clip fed shotgun) the best one I've shot lol. I've used shotguns my entire life (27 years so still a young pup lol). Anyways, I grew up on shotguns for hunting and sport. From the 20 gage to an ten gauge side by side from the 1920's the was an old stage coach gun. This thing fires great. It doesn't like cheap rounds. Even if they are name brand ,but even still, may get a stovepipe every other clip or three clips. But if you go up .30 cents more in ammo you can fire this puppy all you want. I've put about 1,000 rounds through it since I got it about a month ago. Middle April 2019. She is gonna be great for home defense, hunting, and sport. Thank you all for your support and advice. Also it is very well priced I will only come here for guns and ammo from now on. The almighty VR 60 in my opinion is the new era of heavy weaponry. I purchased mine in RK in Clarksville, TN due to living in nearby KY also because I really love the customer service that I get when I am there. There is nothing over the top about this place but the folks that work there is truly cooler than the other side of the pillow!!! So I bought mine and was super pumped due to this being my first weapon purchased outside of the military and it’s a HUGE weapon. I got it home and commence to reading the manual as well as viewing the all-knowing YouTube and was impressed at how all the reviews said about the same thing. That was over 3 years ago and I have did a few mods to it such as removing the carrying handle and front sight, so I can add a my EoTech optic, stock 6 slug holder sleeve and also I bought after researching 1-9 round mag (long) and 1-ninteen slug mag 2 ¾ shells only and also one point sling. I love this weapon so much that I have named it "Black Bastard"!!! I am going to put a link here where you can get the 9 and 19 round mags. If anyone has done any cool mods let me know please, I am waiting on the VR80 this summer. RK is the best thing smoking in the South due to layaway programs and popcorn.

Shoots very well! It did have a little trouble with light loads at first, but after 200 rounds it worked just fine with no problem. Heavier loads worked fine. Very minimal recoil. Would recommend for anyone! (Posted on 1/19/2019)

This was my first online gun purchase and first time to Rural King...and I have to say that I am %100 percent satisfied with RK Guns. First off the guy behind the counter was awesome..wish I had gotten his name..it was on 1/18 at about noon when I was there I bought the VR60..he had 5 other customers and he was handling all of them by himself.. he was very personable and knowledgeable with all the customers..I really liked the fact when he already had a gun out of the case with another customer someone else walked up asking to see a gun and he scanned the area realizing 1 gun was already out and politely told the customer I will get it to you in a moment. He then walked over to the people looking at the other gun out of the case and asked them what they thought (they had already been looking at it for 20 mins)..they said they would be back to buy it..excellent employee..this whole time he kept engaging me while I was waiting for the government to say yes to my purchase he also sold ammo to another guy and took care of a guy paying of the gun he had on layaway and showed a shotgun to the guy who was waiting....I havent shot this shotgun yet but if it is half as good as the expedience your store gave me i will be more that satisfied..keep doing what your doing RK guns just get that guy in the back some help :) (Posted on 1/18/2019)
Purchased a VR60 at Rural King Bloomington, Indiana and love it. Review by Lucky

This shotgun is a beast. I bought mine on sale and a 9 round mag was included with the standard 5 round mag. I had to run a few high brass shells through it for break in but now it will run anything even down to the cheap Walmart ammo. If you want 9 round magazines I just purchased 4 extra from Tombstone Tactical. They don't stay in stock very long, I got lucky. I purchased a forward grip which I mounted on the left picitinney rail to help control the muzzle rise when firing rapid fire. I also added a Limb Savor recoil pad over the factory pad. This makes it really a soft shooter and added one inch to the length of pull which made it fit me much better. Imagine being able to run 9 plus one in the chamber as fast as you can pull the trigger, then stick another mag. in and repeat. It runs like a beast. For loading the mags. I use a oak dowel rod to push down on the brass part of the first shell I load by hand. This really helps in speeding up the loading process. This shotgun is a keeper and will serve well for fun shooting and defending the home place. (Posted on 10/24/2018)
Great shotgun Review by Retired LEO

I took advantage of the Rural King sale on this shogun this past week. I've run around 150 rounds through it and really like it. At first it would not cycle low brass but after around 50 high brass shells, 1,330 FPS Remington Pheasant loads, (with the high pressure piston) it runs everything now. I have 4 buck on hand but haven't shot any so far nor have I fired slugs but will be doing so soon. With the sale I got a five round and a nine round magazine. Loading one in the chamber and 9 in the magazine, running it rapid fire is a real treat. I do have a tip for other owners. To assist in loading the magazines, use a short piece of oak dowel rod roughly 3/4 inch thick, drill a 1/4 inch hole in one end, lengthwise or, same direction of the rod, not through the rod. Drill this hole around 1 inch deep. Then insert a four inch section of 1/4 inch dowel rod into the hole with a small amount of wood glue. Then dremel the end of the 1/4 inch dowel rod so that it approximately matches the contour of a shotgun shell. Hold the larger end of the dowel in your hand, push down on the brass portion of the first shell you have loaded into the magazine. Push the next shell in then repeat until the mag. is loaded. Works for me and makes loading mush easier and faster. Sorry, no provisions here to upload a photo. (Posted on 10/19/2018)

This gun performed better than expected. Right out of the box, ate through 2 boxes of old Remington 7 1/2 low brass, no issues at all. Comes up great, recoil is minimal considering you are blasting with a 12ga. Just an overall bada$$ weapon!! Glad I finally caught it in stock, well worth the patience. (Posted on 6/25/2018)
Solid Value Review by Jon

Took it to the range right out of the box. No fuss no muss. A common concern for firearms like these in the past has been "will it cycle low brass target rounds?". The answer here is yes. It cycled everything I threw at it included ultra budget 'Herters' brand shells. I even enjoyed shooting trap with it. 2 Mags in the box, choke tubes, butt plate adapter and additional gas ring, lock, etc rounds out the accessories. Construction, although mostly polymer is good. The fit and finish is good. The action is sooth and good. The controls are good! And don't let the polymer construction turn you off. A lot of firearms are polymer these days. Even 10mm. The receiver is aluminum and that's what counts. And although the weapon is light for a 12Ga, the felt recoil impulse is greatly reduced thanks to the gasses being used to cycle the action. These are hard to get a hold of and it's no wonder why. But you'll be happy if you do.

RKGuns was quick to process my order and handled my questions quickly and professionally. Good communication all across the board. Thanks! (Posted on 4/19/2018)

I’ve been wanting a shotgun and not really wanting a gun like a 1100 that I grew up with for 3 reasons, I’m not a hunter, I love Pistol grip rifles, and cost. I seen this at my local store on Wednesday did some research, bought it Thursday at lunch. This turned out to be one of my best spur of the moment decisions yet, this gun is fun, out of 1000+ rounds very few failures. At about 150 rounds it wants to be cleaned, 20 sec fix take apart, wipe off with rag, assemble, and shoot 150 more. WOW I’M HAPPY. Buying another one next payday. Oh almost forgot you can get 10, 14, 23, and 28 round Mags. (Posted on 3/21/2018)

Impulse-bought this gun during 12% rebate and have been VERY satisfied. As per the store associate's recommendation, I ran 10 rounds of 00 buck shot through the gun to break it in. Almost every round stovepiped for the first 5 rounds, but not one jam since. I've run hundreds of rounds of high and low brass rounds through this gun and it performs FANTASTIC! There's a negative review here regarding the front sight - my advice: sight in the gun - both sights are adjustable. This gun feels abnormally light for a shotgun, but the semi-auto action takes away a significant amount of the recoil, making it a very manageable system. I'll update this post in a year if needed, but I'm VERY satisfied with my purchase and will be returning to RK for future firearm purchases! (Posted on 1/29/2018)

I have ran at least 200 shells through my vr60. It cycles well with everything from bird and buck shot to slugs 2 3/4 and 3 inch make sure you have proper gas piston installed for load you are shooting installed red dot site very accurate with slugs . only neg. Is no large capacity mags available and sights that come on it . front site post is to tall causing low impact i reccomend replacing it with utg model 4 if wanting to use iron sights also peep is small .
