Description

Take full-size command of the threat. Never before has a handgun so diminutive been built to such high standards for performance and reliability. Every feature of the RM380 has been fine-tuned to deliver unfailing function with unrivaled accuracy and control in the most extreme conditions on earth – the fight of your life. It’s simply the most complete fusion of confidence and concealment to ever hit the EDC category.

In an R&D process measured in hundreds of thousands of rounds, every facet of this handgun has been optimized to function smoothly and reliably in a wide range of conditions – from extreme cold to blistering heat, dirty or clean, whenever and wherever you need it most.

In conjunction with its extremely compact profile, the RM380 has been rounded and smoothed in all key areas to improve concealment, minimize print and enable a quick, clean draw. From inside your waistband or from your pocket, it’s a smooth operator.

Compare its trigger to others in its class, and you’ll instantly be impressed. It promotes both safety and improved accuracy with smooth, extended travel, a lighter pull weight and a crisp, consistent break.

To make pointing and shooting the RM380 as intuitive as possible, we started at the grip. The angle of its grip panels naturally place the barrel in close alignment with your hand so precision shot placement is second nature. The dimensions of the grip also give it the sure handling of a larger-framed pistol.

Because the RM380 features the longest barrel in its class, it has a built-in advantage in shot-to-shot precision. This also helps achieve higher velocities, which translates to more effective bullet expansion and stopping power.

Glad that Remington got the "bugs" worked out of this little "jewel". I've wanted one for a while but kept hearing about recalls. Finally I heard that there were no more problems and the price at RK made it impossible to pass on. I like the (2) magazines supplied with it one flush with the bottom of the grip and the other with the extended "pinky" grip I also like the reduced return spring pressure on the slide. With on again off again arthritis in these aging hands the ease of pulling the slide back is a welcomed blessing. Guys do not be critical of the long trigger pull as this weapon was designed for "deep concealed" carry. yes it is long but a very crisp low pressure break at the end of pulling it to fire. Again the sights are just fine for their intended purpose, this is a "point blank" personal defense weapon any larger and you could not get it out of a concealed pocket holster (Posted on 7/25/2018)

Could not pass up at $129 after rebates. At the range yesterday, 50 rounds with no problems. Trigger pull is long, very long. Accuracy at 25 yards, 7 out of 10 in a 10" ring. Way beyond the range I would expect to use this pistol at. Completely satisfied. (Posted on 6/28/2018)

Like the all metal construction and even though it weighs a few oz. more than the Ruger LCP.
Like the simplicity of double action only and no safety to think about in a pinch. Trigger pull is acceptable and once used to it, you can anticipate it's travel and center in on your target, that much better.
Fired off 25 rounds without any issues, using a variety of different 30yr old cartridges, I had on hand.
Not meant to be a target pistol, but did pretty well at 25ft or so and wouldn't want to be on the other end.
This business of the assembly pin, possibly falling out is solved by filling the barrel's rear guide hole with heavy grease, so not a problem. Remington should consider magnetizing these pins, however and may try doing that myself, as well.

Great little pocket gun. I found it to be very accurate . Functioned flawlessly. I agree with other reviews about the long trigger pull but it doesn't take long to get used to it. Disassembly is a snap but reinserting the pin to reassemble is a PIA.Maybe it's just me. (Posted on 2/2/2018)

The first .380 I have purchased. I always had the 9mm, 38 spl and .45 auto. Well, looking for a small carry and this is perfect. Purchased the gun and took home and cleaned. Went out to the range and handles great; no jams or mis-fires. Buying a spring kit so the better half can handle easier. Trigger pull a little long but easy enough to get used to. I would not pay full price for this gun, but for the RK price and Remington rebate I walked out the door for $129. It has been a great gun for that price. First time shooting it I put 2 sets of 6 shots at 15 feet in the circle of the target. I am no expert shooter and was able to place the shots pretty good. Great gun to conceal in the summer. I would not pay more than $250 for it last thing being said. (Posted on 1/26/2018)

Small, light weight, and beautifully made. No polymer garbage here just sold metal. I was tired of weapons that felt like a toy manufacturer made half of it. The aluminium frame keeps it light but when you hold it, you know it's a weapon. All that and 2 mags. My only wish is that they were both flush bottom and not one with a pinkie extention. You can't beat the price for this quality handgun. (Posted on 1/21/2018)

Between RK's great price and Remington's now-expired rebate, I couldn't say no to this quality .380. Slide is fabulous to operate unlike some other micro guns. The RM380 is excellent. I like this better than the LCP II or LCP. It functions well with all ammo brands. I have tried three types to include HP and they all function flawlessly. Finally, RKs service delivery was fast and professional. The 10 dollar transfer fee is well below standard. All in all this was a great experience. (Posted on 1/7/2018)

This all metal small pistol has the look and feel of quality. Slide operation and magazine operation are first class. Trigger pull is smooth but surprisingly long travel for both firing and reset. Not a problem for people like me who learned handgun shooting with revolvers, but people trained on 1911's and other shorter trigger stroke handguns will have to adapt. On the other hand, I have no hesitation carrying the Remington with a round in the chamber. I'll call this trigger "deliberate".

This is my second RK firearm purchase. Great service and great pricing. Nice selection of accessories, too. I recommend them to anyone.

With the 100 dollar rebate Remington has offered at least twice that I know of, buying one of these is a no brainer! I own one, and my wife owns one. Between the two, we have a total of 275 bucks invested!!
The slide is the easiest I’ve ever pulled back on any pistol. Any woman will be able to pull the slide on this. It’s also reliable. Eats everything I feed it with no failures to date. For its intended purpose it’s hard to beat. It can’t be beat for the price. (Posted on 1/7/2018)

This is my 3rd .380. I have the ruger and walther but wanted one without a laser to put in pocket. Cleaned it lightly out of the box and put 50 rounds through it. Very happy with the product. Shoots fairly accurate, great quality and not one misfeed or malfunction. Good price and feels good in my pocket. I would recommend. The only issue is that super long trigger pull. Takes some getting used to but man it I long. (Posted on 12/19/2017)

This little guy is exactly is what it is...It's made for concealed carry and to go "Bang" when the trigger is pulled 100% of the time and that is what it does. It's not intended to be a sharp shooter at 25 yards or priced out to be a precision, hand made fire arm. It has no safety but with the long pull on the trigger, it should not go "Bang" unless you intended it to. It hold a good pattern at 5-10 yards and has not failed to shoot yet. I would recommend it for a backup or when you need something a bit less conspicuous than the Glock 23. (Posted on 12/12/2017)

I found the RM380 to be incredibly smooth, both simply racking the slide or the trigger. It's a very long trigger pull, but it's smooth, and not heavy at all when compared to my Charter Arms double action trigger.

While approximately 150 rounds isn't the greatest test, it did survive that without any failure of any kind. The ammo was 90gr XTP and 100gr flat nose. (Posted on 7/2/2017)

I will write a review after we shoot it. My wife had a little difficulty getting it locked open but after a few tries she could do it pretty good. This was her first pistol of any kind. I bought this to replace another just like it that my wife "borrowed". I paid over $100 more for the first one and thought it was worth the price. My SOP with a new semiauto is a minimum 200 rounds failure-free before I trust it for defensive use. I followed 200 rounds of ball with 4 magazines of Winchester 95 gr. JHP. Not my usual carry ammo, but at least a test of all 4 magazines with HPs in a dirty gun. The second hundred rounds all went inside the 8 ring (and 90% in the 9, 10, X) of a B27 target at 7 yards. Not a single bobble. (Posted on 6/17/2017)

Almost a pleasure to shoot! I had a Keltec P3at for years. This was the best change ever! .95" width instead of .75". What a difference. The Remington is so much easier to grip. Your grandmother can rack the slide. No repositioning for follow up shots. I added the Galloway spring kit (lighter hammer spring and heaver recoil spring. WOW!) This is carried in a Sneaky Peat belt clip holster and I know I am safe! A long smooth DAO trigger that snaps clean at the end. 3" groups at 7yrds and 4" groups at 11yrds. Over and over. 400+ rounds. No failure to feed and 2 failure to fire with Armscore rounds. You do have second strike with the DOA only. I carry with Hornandy Critical Duty. This is a top pocket gun. (Posted on 12/21/2016)

Very Nice! Review by MikeR
Quality

Fired 100 rounds of factory ammo right out of the box. Very pleasant to shoot with little felt recoil/muzzle flip. No hiccups whatsoever even when fast-firing. Grips have good texture. This little gun stayed nice and steady in my rather large hands. Shot 2" groups out to 10 yards and I would say even out to 15 yards grouping was still a respectable 4"-5" and I'm no expert marksman. Sights are tiny and I do wish the front sight was a different color than rear sights to give it some contrast against dark silhouettes. Trigger pull is a long double action, but smooth and easy to get used to. The slide racks easily and locks back after last round is fired, a feature that is missing in most handguns this size. Slide release is tiny and hard to use but power stroking negates that problem. Here's a tip when cleaning gun: Avoid putting any type of pressure whatsoever on the barrel while removing/installing breakdown pin and you'll have no problems getting it in or out.

My first .380 and its for my wife an upgrade from her .32. It has to be simple and easy to operate for her. Her biggest problem is her hand and finger strength or the lack of strength. The RM380 is dirt simple, "pull the trigger until its empty". Without a safety i appreciate the long trigger pull and the just right trigger resistance. I have only shot 2 clips through it so I can not give it a full 5 stars on quality as of yet and the fact that it shoots high at 10 yards. I ran Korean bullets through it without an issue. All and all it should work well for the wife and get the job done if need be. (Posted on 3/31/2016)
