Fun and accurate Review by TRon

I purchased this pistol on sale at Rural King and was happy with the price. I have had this pistol at the range on a few occasions now and have found it to perform reliably and to be quite accurate. So far it seems to prefer the CCI MiniMags but I have obviously not tried every brand yet. Quality seems very good. The frame appears to be a zinc alloy and the slide is aluminum. The recoil spring appears to be very light but have not had any issues yet. The FDE finish is very nice and seems to be holding up well so far. I would highly recommend this firearm to anyone for target shooting/plinking or small game hunting.

What I expected in a Walther Review by Cardoctor55

First of all thank you to Nick, the manager for making all of my RK purchases pleasant at the Monticello store in Indiana.
After unpackaging the gun found it in good order with no packaging scratches. I field stripped the gun to clean and lube, as I do with all of my new guns, and found deep file marks in the lower slide area. There is no play in the slide so I don't know if I should finely file the marks away. I'm not a gunsmith but do have many years of mechanical experience. I decided to let it be until I get to the range and have the opportunity to fire it. I would have given it all 5 stars other than this flaw. (Posted on 11/17/2019)
Great fit and function; just as you expect from Walther and Colt. Review by 1911 Lover

I believe the FDE finish looks great and is (so far) very durable. The rail made is easy to attach a Crimson Trace, green Lazar site. Sweet package. Retail prices for this gun, very greatly. (Posted on 11/17/2019)

Only shot about 100 rounds so far. It is a good shooter. Slide spring seems a little weak. Had troubles picking up the next round. May just be new. Shoots good. Feels like real 1911 (Posted on 11/16/2019)

RKGuns - Easy to order, fast shipping, easy to pick up at the store. I've ordered from other online gun stores in the past and RKGuns is the easiest if you are going to pick your gun up at the store. One time I made arrangements to have a gun shipped to a local gun shop and when I went to pick up the firearm the guy behind the counter complained to me about buying online. RKGuns made it easy. No issues yet with the gun, shot about 300 rounds out of the box before it’s first cleaning getting the stick shipping oil out and have shot another 400 after that with no issues. Shooting very old federals that I have had for years. Bought 3 more mags for it that are just like the one that comes with it. (Posted on 11/16/2019)

I shot 100 rounds thru it. No jams or stovepipes. I am going to try different brands of ammo in it to see which one shoots the best. Would recommend this gun (Posted on 11/16/2019)

While it is produced by Walther it is an excellent clone. Look and feel of a colt 1911 but very value minded. Plus it shoots .22s which are so much cheaper than. 45s. (Posted on 11/16/2019)
Terrific gun Review by Joey

Colt made its own .22 under the model name of Colt Ace. It was designed to train people in the use of a government model .45 and had heavy recoil, intentionally, through the use of a floating chamber.
Ace .22s are no longer made and used ones are very expensive.
This one has a fixed barrel, which is threaded for some function that is unexplained. It might be for a suppressor or barrel extension.
The frame is made of a zinc alloy and the slide is aluminum, with a steel barrel.
A small, stamped, open-end wrench is supplied to remove the small cap at the end of the barrel. It also includes two very small hex wrenches to make adjustments and removals.
It is supplied with one 12-shot magazine. Magazines are available but mostly in 10-shot versions. Supposedly, you can remove a plastic plug from the 10-shot and make it a 12-shot, but I have not tried that.
I would have preferred it came with two magazines.
It is the same size as a full-size government model .45. It is not an A1, because it does not have the arched spring housing. It is a matter of personal preference, but I prefer this style.
There are three different sub models and this one is the rail-gun, as it has a rail under the slide to add a laser, flashlight or some other accessory.
It has a broad beaver tail and knurled hammer.
It shot flawlessly out of the box and everything worked perfectly.
I have shot an original Colt Ace and prefer this one.
Made in Germany, this gun started life as a blank-firing 9mm, redesigned as a .22, and licensed by Colt. Earlier models came in a Colt plastic box, but mine arrived in a Walther plastic case.
All-in-all, I think it is terrific.
