Great Pocket Gun Review by SilentRunner123

Bought it on 10Feb2017 and shot 150 rounds that night straight out of the box. No malfunctions period. It's a 1 1/2 finger grip gun with low recoil and great sights. I own a Taurus TCP and recoil is more than the PICO. I wanted to see how reliable the PICO was before I put it my CC rotation. And it has passed the test. I shot Monarch FMJ 94 grain as well as Critical Defense FTX 94 grain with no problems. The slide is hard but directions state that the slide is easier with no magazine. Plus the PICO has last round open function. The gun is so thin and the trigger is a heavy DAO that I am looking into just putting a universal clip holster on it. For $239.99 it's a excellent gun. good gun, but has a couple of faults Review by carl

good gun, reasonably accurate (I shake a little), found 2 things I personally didn't like: 1) the trigger is strong and a very long pull, think it would be great as a single/double action weapon. 2) Is very hard on the hand if using the regular clip, but seems much better with the extended clip. All and all, good gun. Now to get my hand feeling better between the thumb and index finger (Posted on 1/27/2017)

My dad bought this gun against others that I recommended and he regretted every bit of it. first the magazine release button is in an awkward place and makes it very hard and slow to release magazine. second the slide is very hard to rack back! shooting it is very hard to control..being snappy and grips are thin and smooth. Trigger pull is terrible too. Ive been shooting all my life and have many firearms and this gun is very bad. I carry and if you want something this size go with either a Ruger LCP or Glock 42 both are 380 cal. I have both and the are very concealable and easier to use!
P.S we sold this gun for a loss. (Posted on 1/11/2017)

Nice pocket gun. Great price for a well known brand. Slide is very stiff and hard to operate compared to Kimber or Sig 380's. haven't shot yet . For people having trouble with the slide release, it operates much easier with the magazine released. Read your Manuel. (Posted on 1/9/2017)

Bought on sale, 2nd gen, The one I got had been updated. 500 rounds down the tube, no problems! I will say, because of the Pico's small size, it is harder to shoot, change magazines, and shoot again fast. the purpose of this excellent made mouse gun is concealment! It does that very well. Trigger pull, sights and accuracy was very good with the 2nd generation upgrade model. (Posted on 1/4/2017)

Beretta Pico, a nice pocket pistol Review by Cecil

The Berea Pico is a very nice and well made pocket pistol. Put around a 100 rounds through it without a hiccup. Holds a reasonably tight pattern for a pocket pistol. For me, I prefer the extended clip as it fits my hand much better than a standard clip. If your using it for concealed carry, you had better make sure the first 7 rounds count, as changing clips can be a problem. I really don't care much for the paddle type clip release, and being so small makes it even worse. Also the slide release can be problematic in a emergency situation. For me it takes two hands to release the clip and two again to operate the slide. Berea wanted to make it snag proof and they certainly have succeeded. To summarize, it's a great little, we'll made, accurate pistol, but reloading it on the fly could be difficult. (Posted on 12/26/2016)

I do not like the slide release its almost unusable. Great sights for a small frame cc. Trigger travel is long before engagement . I like my S&W bodyguard better except its trigger is worse yet . Shoots and handles ok until you have to release the slide . Great price and service from RK (Posted on 12/24/2016)

Tried the Pico out today with Winchester Silvertip and Colt SCHP. No problems with either load and silvertips was the accuracy winner if you can really measure accuracy in an 11 oz pocket pistol. The sights on this gun are as good as many mid size autos and work very well. (Posted on 12/21/2016)

First rural kings service was great.price was very reasonable.i shot 50 rnds with gun after purchase and disliked alot of its qualities. It has long heavy trigger pull.slide release is extremely rigid to the point of being an issue.on occasion would have a round not feed into barrel.i liked the gun so much i sold it yesterday lol.much better choices out there. I thought the gun was pretty cool when I first saw it. But trying to use it I'm not sure. I haven't shot it yet but I don't like the slide. It's very stiff and hard for me to pull. Not a good gun for conceal carry for me. I like something easier to pull back especially when you need to quick. If I was able to return it I would but Rural King does not take back returns on guns so I'm stuck with it. (Posted on 12/20/2016)

I have been looking for a good CC weapon and have made a few other purchases trying to find just the right one. The Beretta Pico was on sale at a fantastic price, so now I have it in hand..
I hope to get to the range in early January so I can get the feel of the weapon and how it feels.
I really like the clean lines on all sides of the weapon to minimize snagging on any fabric, which may slow access. I can see where the quick teardown for cleaning and possible upgrades, will definitely come in handy.
In looking through the possible upgrades available for this weapon, you can see that Beretta thought through what would be needed/wanted, before manufacturing the weapon. Good Job. (Posted on 12/19/2016)

Just received gun on Saturday. Still haven't got a chance to fire but a couple things I did notice is it has a very long awkward trigger pull, also the slide is very stiff and being so small it's difficult to move. Quality of the gun seems great and at the price thought it was a terrific little concealed weapon (Posted on 9/29/2016)

I was looking for a carry pistol that wouldn't make my pants sag or create gun-bumps in my clothes. I looked at several compacts and subs but noticed the weight of most was over a pound. This beauty weighs 11 ounces unloaded and is really small. It carries un-noticeably in my pocket or belly band. It was on sale at an incredibly low price; lower than any I've seen on other gun sites.
RKGuns shipped it to the local Rural King store for free and it took about a half hour to process it. It includes a really nice carrying case, and an extra magazine. I asked the manager how they could possible sell these at such a low price; he said they buy a bunch of them in a lot and move them out. You should sign-up for rkguns.com newsletter, there are amazing deals every week. This is a sweet gun; I am one happy camper!

This is a well priced and quality gun. It is very concealable. However if you empty the magazine and want to reload, good luck. It is extremely difficult to release the slide. In an attempt to make the gun smooth with nothing to snag in your pocket, there is nothing to to push on to release the slide to chamber a round. If you try pulling back on the slide to release pressure to move the slide latch, the round will not chamber. Other than that it is a great weapon. (Posted on 9/29/2016)

Really well built quality. I really like Beretta products, they do great work. The Pico is a perfect size for pocket carry. I have fairly large hands and easily fit two fingers on the hand grip. The site line is excellent. It came with 2 mags (one with grip extension), a nice zippered case and lock. The day I picked mine up there were like 6 other orders that came in showing the popularity of this gun. Finally, Rural King is an awesome place to buy guns either in store or online. I never feel ripped off because the prices are always reasonable. I have purchased 12 guns of different makes and calibers over the last 14 months and have no complaints whatsoever. Their customer service has always been top notch with me. (Posted on 9/29/2016)

I have carried one of these for years as my backup weapon. It is worth the extra money to have the LazerMax added or do it yourself. When you are in the heat of the moment it is a hundred times easier to spot a Red Dot on a person than trying to sight them in as time is NOT on your side at that point. Even if not in Law enforcement always have a PLAN B for a Backup. (Posted on 9/14/2016)
